What are some of your favorite "Chick Flicks?" Romantic comedies, dramas, historical, etc. I'm thinking about having a chick flick night at my house for my homeschool group moms and wanted some ideas... Thanks!
Dirty Dancing, Steel Magnolias, Message in a bottle, The ya ya sisterhood and anything with horses. Although I liked the horsewhisperer I thought they messed up the ending compared to the book.
Steel Magnolias, 27 dresses, Ghosts of Girlfriends past (this one even my hubby liked), You've Got Mail, Pretty Woman.
Pretty Woman... I LOVE that movie!! Anything with Julia Roberts would work good... Runaway Bride is really a good chick flick too!
I am curious about (wyomom) horsewhisperer how did they mess up the ending? What was it supposed to be like? I loved the movie cause themom made the right choice.. she still does doesnt she? my fav chick flicks, Sleepless in seattle, many of those mentioned here, Anne of Green Gabels, JJane Austen movies, etc,
I have to ditto the sentiments of Steel Magnolias, but I also like 27 dresses, ghosts of girlfriends past wasn't bad. P.S. I love you, it's a tear jerker but a good one. A league of their own, fried green tomatoes, my best friend's wedding, gone with the wind, the ugly truth, sweet home alabama, hope floats, now and then, the proposal, failure to launch, runaway bride, he's just not that into you, stepmom, nottingham, how to loose a guy in 10 days, fool's gold..I could go on and on. I'm a chickflick lover.
I am odd, but I like romantic comedies. Let's see...oh..I LOVED "The Proposal" but any guy would like that one I think. That is where the baby got his name. Ryan Reynolds stars in that movie. LOL "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and "The Ugly Truth" (again, a movie a guy would love too, but I loved it). I liked "For Christmas's" too.
