Does anyone know of a place to get (either through download or mail) grade-level testing? Kind of like PAC or BSAP or whatever they may call them. I'd love to see how DS is doing, but I don't want to actually have him tested, ya know?

You can get practice tests (called Peak Performance) and what are called Essential Learning Objective Quick Assessments at www.basicskills.net. They're all grade specific.

You can order testing supplies from Bob Jones University Press. They have standardized tests as well as grade-level tests.

You might also check your state's education site to see if they have the TAKS tests available online. Texas has theirs available from previous years.

We use Seton for testing to do the CAT standardized test. It's really not very expensive (I believe around $20 or less) and it's on point with grade levels across the board so you get a good idea.

I was looking for something less "official" as I just want the information for my own use... just as a check-up on how I'm doing as a teacher. Once he gets a bit older though I am sure I'll test him officially. Thanks for all the help and suggestions!

www.setontesting.com It's $25 and you'll have the results back in about a week (unless it's in July when they're crazy busy).

It's the CAT-E (Survey Edition) and it's just math and lang arts.

We use it in VA because it meets the minimum state requirements.

I have used BJU testing as well for the Iowa Test of Basic Skills as well.

We don't have mandatory testing here under the 3rd option, so I'll only be doing it for my own purposes. I think the Iowa test through BJU looks like a good option as well as the one through Seton.
    Thanks!!!
