Scarlet Pimpernell IS hard to find! I think there was some copyright restrictions or something. We happen to have it on video...a history teacher gave Carl a version one time during summer vacation, and then didn't return in the fall or something like that.
Good job, T'mom!!! Did you dedicate it to me and Faythe...? I'll plug it on our local homeschool loop, if I'm allowed to!
uh, my dh forgot that I said I wanted to dothat but if I do the next one in the seriese I will for sure give you honorable mention! If nothing else! We are going to do it for the life group I go to! the leader looked at it and said THERES OUR NEXT book! We are doing 30 days to taming your tongue for the first two months, doing 3 days a week Lol
ROFL!!! It takes quite a man to make it through a chick flick, Steve! I'll bet you've watched one or two with your family! My daughters' and my favs: Dirty Dancing, Message in a Bottle, Sweet Home Alabama, Man from Snowy River, and the piece de resistance: Pretty Woman.
I watched bits and pieces of Revolutionary Road today. So far I like this movie, but I need to see the parts I missed. I know what happens in the end though. My friends and I used to have chick flick nights back in high school and college. We watched the Leprechaun series of movies (scary/cheesy) for a good laugh. We also watched Beaches, which touched us all deeply and we vowed to always stay in touch no matter where we were. We still keep in touch to this day! The other movies we watched were Muriel's Wedding, Little Women, Before Sunrise, Brady Bunch movies, Wayne's World 1 & 2 and some top VHS rentals at the time. Well, I hope the chick flick night goes well.
I like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and the Anne of Green Gables movies. My 14 yo dd and I like to watch "House" which isn't a chick flick but my dh and ds do not like to watch it.
Ok. I fess up. I am not a chick flick fan. Sorry ladies and gents. I don't do comedies very well either, which happens to be dh favorite. Now if you come across any old John Wayne movies (except True Grit!) I'm there! My Favs: The Fighting CB's Wake of the Red Witch Cowboys John Wayne aslo did one about Red Adair, the oil rig firefighter. But I can't remember the name of the movie. Marty
Big Jake!!! I had my kids watch "Cowboys" last year when we were studying the West. My brother who lives in San Antonio told me I could get in BIG trouble teaching them Texas history from watching "The Alamo", lol!!! They enjoyed the movie anyway!
Jackie, You tell him to quit picking on you! John Wayne history is ok (even if its pretend!!) lol!! Marty
It was called hell fighters. I love that one and any other John Wayne movie you can think of. We just watched McClintock the other day and Big Jake.
I wanted "Green Berets" for Viet Nam, but wasn't able to get it. (In all honesty, our history just sort of petered out about then!)
Thank you for remembering! I racked my brain trying to. I went to Netflix to see if its there and it is!! Marty
