When I saw this I immediately thought of my youngest DS. He won’t be in college at 11 but he could definitely go at 15 if he keeps on his current track. It just reassures me that it is possible and that I shouldn't listen to the school board homeschool division when they tell me not to let DS advance to fast. They said if he finishes a grade early then he should do enrichment until September and then start a new grade. That is crazy to me.

Absolutely, Cricutmaster! Why put learning "on hold" until a certain calendar date?

Amazing, that right there is education at it's finest! He excelled because he was allowed to excel, he was not forced to stay behind so he could "fit in" or because it was convenient for the teacher. Now he truly is a child not left behind.

Love it! Our country needs more people speaking up for the importance of educational acheivement.

I also agree that kids don't need to be slowed down at all. My middle dd is about to finish her last 2nd grade book and move on to third. I don't plan on making her wait until Sept. We just move into the next book and keep going.
