the date of the post is on the left at the top..you must be looking at the JOIN DATE..... and yes some people have been on here along time but there is nothing wrong with that.....
I was thinking I might make a file folder game or 2 to add to them, along with some bags.. my kids LOVE file folder games! I'm not sure how many will participate, I'm thinking about a dozen or so? I just counted on this thread and I get I think 10 or 11, I will do 2 at least since I have 2 little preschool/kindergartener age kiddo.
Ok, I just fully read DaLynn's post.. my bad, must have been sleeping when I read it before. I don't expect any gifts as hostess, really it's not necessary, but I do agree it would be easier if all bags were sent so I didn't have to keep track of which person sent what so they got back a box that had all but that one in it.
Reading my posts requires several cups of coffee, and a determination to make it to the end. I like the file folder games idea!
Would everyone rather swap folder games? OR it could be a bag or a folder.. they are all basically the same.. something to keep them busy and sneak in some learning
I vote for being free to do either a bag or file folder... as long as it's something for the little ones to do.
Me too Rebekah.. How about a vote on do you want to know what each other is doing... or do you all want to be surprised?
I vote for keeping a list of what we're each doing only so that we don't get a bunch of very similar kits
I would know what everyone is doing.. you can PM me your idea and I can keep a list.. that why only one of us isn't surprised It would be like Christmas!
I don't post here often, but I would be interested in this also. We have a few file folder games and a few activity bags for my 2 year old and I would love to make and receive more!
If you have an idea you can PM me now with it. I have a few listed already We won't know until we close down joining how many.. but it doesn't hurt to get started early.. esp if you are going to do something that is a bit more labor intensive like folder games Anyway, my guess is about a dozen participants
Can I ask how many will be focusing on a K level? I really want to do this. My dd knows all her letters, numbers, shapes, etc. She's a beginning reader.
I'm curious about the level of activity as well. My son is an early K-er, could use some help on letter sounds but might also be considered an early reader. Definitely not needing shapes and colors here, but I'm hoping that these "activities" will be things that, even though they might not pertain to his academics, are educational in other ways and will help me keep him occupied while I work with his brother until it's his turn! So personally, I think surprises are great, but because of the level thing I think this is a good one to share what we are doing or are thinking of doing.
