I've been homeschooling for a few years (although I did allow them to go to public school for one year a couple of years ago) and still haven't necessarily figured out our homeschooling "groove". Hi! No, I'm not in a realfoods group...sorry...there are too many Jennifers in the world!!! LOL On a farm huh? That's awesome! We are trying to get back out in the country too...we are SO not used to having neighbors this close to us! We actually found this one house out in Seguin that was nice and private. Having problems getting in touch with the realtor though... My kids are a 14 year old girl, 10 year old girl, 7 year old girl, 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl. Fun, fun! Jennifer
I hear you on city living. We were there for years in SA. I swear I had every country realator book marked when we were looking for our place. Seguin has a lot of water out that way dont have to worry too much about the draught we were thinking of going that way ourselfs at one time but we ended up in farm country out towards Castroville hwy 90. There is a nice raw milk farm I would like to go out there someday to visit in Seguin its http://www.moojesus.com/ they say they have a cafe with real foods.
Lynn-NW San Antonio Hi, My name is Lynn and I started homeschooling my 8yo daughter Dec 1st 09' Started out great but has turned rather challenging. I know I need to press on and keep going. I'm just a little concerned that she's not learning what she needs to. She refuses to work much. Ugh! Glad I found this Blog though
I'm also in TX... north Austin. It's my first year HS'ing. My 4 year old is in 1st this year. Haven't done anything with the 1 year old yet other than the usual ... books, toys, etc.
I find myself having those same concerns...especially with my 15 year old, who has absolutely NO motivation at all! LOL
