My husband might be taking a business trip to Orange County in a few weeks. If he goes, he is going to try to take all of us. I've done a tiny bit a research and see that Disneyland and Legoland is close by. Anyone ever been to OC or in the area? What are some must-sees? Insider tips? Anyone been to Disneyland or Legoland? What are you thoughts?

Disneyland is great for anyone. Legoland depends more on the age of your kids. It is extremely kid friendly, but many of the attractions are for kids only and those above age 4 if I'm not mistaken--they can go on a lot of stuff by themselves. That said, our kids have always loved it! It's hand's on and lots to see. If your kids are older, they may not find it as fun, unless of course you're huge Lego fans. (DH and I went by ourselves to the original park in Denmark and had a great time!) There is a lot to do in OC. The science center in Santa Ana is very nice. San Diego is just a couple hours to the south and there's tons to do there.

When we go back to CA this summer, we'll definitely be going to Legoland, the boys are very much looking forward to it.

I am not far, not close, but not far from Orange County. My daughter lives there. I have never been to Legoland but have been to Disneyland. If you are going to be in Santa Ana, stop by The Discovery Science Center. Here is a link to some of the exhibits. http://www.discoverycube.org/exhibits.aspx?n=632696
They are really cool. Also stop by The Santa Ana Zoo. It is a small sanctuary for endangered animals and injured animals. Most of the animals you can see really close up. Like I said, it is small but worth the time you will spend there.

..and of course, you can go to the beach if you are interested. I am not a beach fan so I do not go often.

Talk with Kris. I'm thinking she's the Disney expert around here! I'm also thinking that it's often cheaper if you get your tickets beforehand.
