Do you think there is any chance a Spanish speaking family lives in your area? Maybe your 10yr old could help out with their kids, and learn spanish from them? They might learn more from real world learning, perhaps with a work book on the side so that they understand the grammar. I had a friend who needed to learn Thai for an exchange, and she asked at a local Thai restaurant. They knew someone who was able to spend time with her. Maybe something like that would be an option?

I am looking at Switched-On Schoolhouse. Seems a bit more affordable.
