When we start homeschooling we will probably do it in the dining room.. I have a whole walll of built ins and shelves so it would be the perfect spot for books and stuff.. I however would love to have a school room but hubby refuses to move upstairs and leave our master bedroom behind...LOL

We do not have a set space for homeschooling, except for our supplies. I keep these, along with crafts, in a large armoire we bought specifically for this reason.

Ems used to have a couple of desks but we got rid of them because she never used them. She likes to do school all over the house, yard, park, or wherever we go.

    Hi
It's neat to see some people's school spaces. Sometimes I wish I had a classroom type of room somewhere in the house.

We school in many rooms of the house. We mainly do our work at the kitchen table though. Sometimes we cuddle in my bed to read. Once in a while I will work with my son in his bedroom if my daughter is doing a project at the table. We also use the computer, which is in my bedroom. When we play educational games we play in the living room on the floor. We also use our tv in the living room for watching educational shows and videos. Of course, we use the outdoors on good weather days as well. My organization (or lack there of) is putting everything in a few plastic bins/tubs, which I store in the corner of my son's room. Many times though I have all the books, workbooks and papers piled up on our breakfast nook counter or in a pile in my bedroom. It's very messy around here!

I also used to have the school supplies all over the house until we finally bought the armoire. I was surprised how much fit into it. We bought it unfinished because a finished armoire ran in the thousands. This one only ran in the $200 range. I looks nice in the living room too and everything is easy to get and together.

I just posted pictures of our set-up here. It is the first place we have lived where we haven't had a room that was mainly for homeschooling.

We have a schoolroom...but we don't use it much. I do often send one of them in there if they are "distracting" each other and we keep all the books there. (and school supplies) I am waiting to take pictures, because it needs painting. lol. it was the boys bedroom until thier older sister moved out. So I got a new rug and hung curtains in the closets...there is a big comfy chair for reading, but we don't all three fit in it so most of our reading is done in the living room. I even had pillows made for lounging, but somehow we still end up in the living room and on the dining room table. the old "office" which is actually the mud room is where the computer is...I like it there because it is just off the kitchen and I can "peek" at them and hear them and I know what they are doing on the computer.
I do try to get them to put all the schoolstuff in the schoolroom at the end of the day. somedays are better than others.

We are in a three bedroom apartment right now and I have managed to squeeze everything in, but no one would doubt at all that we homeschool when they walk in the door. The dinning area is surrounded by bookshelves full of books and science supplies. I also put all three girls in one room and have the rest of our school stuff set up in the third bedroom. We use the "schoolroom" bedroom as storage and work at the table.

I dream of the homeschool basement so that someday it can all be out of sight at the end of the day.

We have a multi-purpose room that most of the schoolin' happens ( multi-purpose because it is the office, linen closest, exercise, and school room) Most of our school supplies are in here, at our old house we did it all at the dining room table. We have 2 school desks set up and that is where the "magic" happens. We do move around a bit though, kitchen for fun science/home-ec, down stairs for educational tv/dvds, and when it's nice out I like to sit out there and read while they swing or play in the dirt :p. Not posting picture ATM because it is a total pit, we are making a lapbook and we have clipings and glue and things everywhere:)

Lol, Rachael and I are discussing taking a picture of her sitting cross-legged on the couch with a blanket doing her lessons, along with Phillip at the table and Faythe in her room! Those are our school areas!
