KC to close nearly half of its schools

    It is alarming, because as more and more parents choose to homeschool, you can bet the farm that the govt will feel the need to step in and help them !

    This is the same district that was granted a blank check some years ago. They built fancy new schools, an olympic sized swimming pool, I think a robotics lab and several other huge undertakings. They cut class sizes down to something like 12 and the schools didn't improve. Now they'll have these expensive buildings sitting unused, teachers and other staff out of work, angry parents and they'll go back to large class sizes. More money does not = better schools. I'm not at all surprised that they are facing bankruptcy.

    I always tell my friends "thank you for keeping your kids in public school because it helps keep the governement from completely regulating homeschoolers"
