Hi all! I joined awhile back but haven't been on in quit some time. Just wanted to reintroduce myself. My name is Crystal, and currently live in my hometown in the Southern Outer Banks of NC. I'm a proud Coast Guard wife to my husband of 6 years. I'm also a stay-at -ome mom to my 3 amazing children Brendan (5) Rebecca (2 1/2) and Michael (14 months)..and 2 furbabies. I also babysit my 3 month old nephew mon - fri. My husband and I have decided to homeschool our children. I'm currently trying to figure out what curriculum to use.. there are so many out there its overwhelming. I have no clue where to start. In addition to my husbands support, my family and his are also extremely supportive.. it's a great relief! My son just turned 5 last week. Although we technically homeschool on a daily bases (he counts, reads and writes to 100, Reads, knows all of his abc's and the sound each letter makes and so much more).. I'm looking to start full time when the school season starts next year for Kindergarten. Then take summers off and if there is a subject he is struggling with, we will focus on that through the summer (kinda like summer school). WOW... didn't mean to write a book here. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning everything there is about homeschooling!
