Hi I am Shelli. I am a homeschooling mom to my daughter who is 14. We just began homeschooling right after the first of the year. She is our only child. She was in the 8th grade when we pulled her out of ps. I use to work as an LPN but have put that on hold for now to stay home with my daughter and encourage her and guide her a long this new journey. We currently live in Hamilton, Illinois. I have not found many home schoolers around us. So hoping to meet some new friends here. Looking forward to getting to know you all! Shelli

It is a fantastic place to get support and information. My dd is in 5th grade and my ds is in 8th. Shelli-Im just south of the QC in Sherrard. My goal is to start this coming year,(DH really wants to wait one more year..another story..another time.)I havn't found too many either, but I've heard of a couple that I want to check into. I have 3 friends who are or starting this coming year. One lives in Geneso, another lives in Port Byron, and the other lives out near me in Swedona. You could try checking with the Regional Education office since they do work with about 40/50 families.
