Perhaps not a Christian Issue, but a religious one.

My husband as I have decided to take courses online to learn more about Catholocism. I have been a catholic all my life but more avidly when a child. I want my children to feel the same way I did when I was a child and to keep that feeling through adolescence and beyond! Is anyone else here Catholic, or any other Denomination or faith?

Dana converted to Catholicism; she'd be a good one to talk with! I grew up in a Baptist church, but am now attending a nondenominational one.

I'm not Catholic, but I understand your wanting to rear your children in your faith. Taking classes - online or in person - sounds like a place to start. In Missouri, are there many Catholic churches nearby? or is it majority Protestant? I don't know much about your region, obviously. If there's a Catholic church nearby, would they have family classes you could attend all together? or just classes for adult prospective converts, and classes for children (catechism or CDC classes)? I'm just curious about the online option, is all.

There's a tv show I've enjoyed a lot called Web of Faith on the EWTN channel - it's an older and a younger priest who take questions by email and answer them on-air. It has its own website and email Q&A, which you might find interesting. http://www.ewtn.com/series/2003/weboffaith.htm Try this one too, from the same site: http://www.ewtn.com/vexperts/conference.htm

Thank you Lindina! The classes I am taking are sponsored by The Knights Of Columbus, and yes we do have a Catholic Church down the street from my parents house, which it about 3 miles away. It's very close by. I will check out those websites, thank you very much!

    I thought Catholics were Christians.

They are! Or at least those who have a personal relationship with Christ are! Being a member of ANY denomination doesn't gain you "automatic admittance" into heaven!
