A few weeks ago I got the book The Three R's and I have been working with my son with his words. The words are simple cvc words but anyway today I decided to write a sentence on the board and I asked him to tell me the words he knew in the sentence and he read the sentence. A cat in the hat. I almost flipped.

Yes I can't describe the joy I feel. It's like a light turned on in his head and he just got the concept today. For about a week now he has been walking around the house saying letter sounds to himself and looking for letters in books. Of course his shadow my 2yo son is following him. All day long all I hear is f f f f Fan or s s s Sat etc. This is great we are on our way!

    Kewl!

Wait till your child graduates from being homeschooled and see what a thrill that feels like. It is awesome!
