hi all! My new site is up: http://www.4minihands.com/ You will see a copywork book under "freebies" on the homepage. Just click on it and it will get you to a download page.
Too young for my kiddo's, Ava Rose, but I did want to say what a great site you have!! It looks wonderful and I can tell you have put in a lot of hard work creating it.
o.k I have a quick and rather dumb question. I love the idea of copy work and am always looking for new things to do with it. I love the book, but I don't understand the extra lines. I always thought that copy work was a child copying a sentence or passage so they could practice writing well written sentences. Most of the copy work pages I find are blank lines with a title at the top. I am always at a loss as to whether I am supposed to come up with my own sentences for my children to copy or are they supposed to write on there own? I guess I am missing something?
I provide extra lines for mistakes or so the child can practice a bit more. I also was trying to account for large handwriting since it's for K-3rd. Kids at that age tend to use 1/2 a page for one sentence. I know my kids would always get frustrated if they didn't have enough line space...or extra pages to redo their mistakes or make their handwriting look better.
Ava your site is so cool! I still do not know how in the world you manage to do all you do! You are super woman! I am currently printing copywork sheets from www.simplycharlottemason.com. Grace loves doing copywork! On Wednesday's she does a drawn narration and copywork from our history reading and puts it in her My America book. Don't you just LOVE CM!?!?!
I love your site too! My my kids are a bit too old for the stuff on it but very nicely done! Bravo! My site mostly only has my weekly devotional articles lately, you inspire me that when I have time to upgrade it to more!
