You could look at CLE. It has all the grammar, composition, spelling, and penmanship contained in the workbooks. They have a diagnostic (placement) test too. www.clp.org
I strongly suggest you use the diagnostic before buying, because of changing from one curriculum to another. It's online and you print it out to use it, and the TM for it is there too. There is an additional composition thing, if you don't think what's in the workbooks is enough, with suggestions in a small book called On Teaching Writing. They actually allow two days per unit free of workbook exercises, to work on this additional composition.

I'm not sure how old your older dd is but you mention wanting to focus on her spelling and writing. Simply Charlotte Mason has a great program called Spelling Wisdom. There is even a video there on their site you can watch.

I just started FLL and am glad to hear that it worked for you. My ds loves it. It is good for him too since he doesn't write well, and for the first year there isn't writing.

Have you looked into the free spelling on the web. Seekingmylord has one in her signature that we are kind of following now http://sites.google.com/site/seekingmylord/spelling-rules
And there is another free one http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/spelling-level-b.html

Wordly wise has a word list and games for each of their books that is free online as well. http://www.wordlywise3000.com/word_lists/?book=2&lesson=1

As for writing could you just do the copy work. Or is there something else you are looking for? You might check out the WTM forums I look at the used section to find out what they liked and what they didn't like.
