Rachael is taking pre-Cal this year, using Teaching Textboooks. Next year she'll be a Junior. Carl wants her to take Calculus, but I've no idea what curriculum to use. I CANNOT teach her; it has to be something she can do independently. The highest math I've ever had was Geometry. I wish he'd take the time to look into things. We can't afford Chalk Dust, Life of Fred is a possibility, I'd rather not use Saxon. I'd love to hear what you've used and what you thought of it!

Can you send her to a JC? Although I took Calc in highschool, it was offered through the community college, and we got college credit for it--never understood the whole AP thing, when you can just get actual credit at a JC. there's no way I'd attempt to teach it on my own.

Huh. That's a thought, Jamie. And there is a place close enough to do that; she actually has hs'ed friends that take a class or two. I'll look into it.

Good luck! No time like the present to get those college credits.
