I am trying to clean off bookshelves and get rid of things we aren't using and what did I do this morning!? What did I do?! I'll tell you what I did! I walked out the street to a church yardsale and looked in a box and bought more books! It wasn't too bad though. I got The Usborne Enclyclopedia of Planet Earth, Scholastic Science Dictionary, Science Horizons, and a brand new drawing journal for Emily all for $2.00. I just didn't really need these, but I couldn't say no! I love books!

It is an addiction and there should be a support group for this! But seriously, who can pass up a 2.00 bargain? unbelievable!

    It's funny....
When I began hsing, a friend who had been hsing for years, told me to invest my money in bookshelves, not a desk. How right she was....

Currently I have 18 bookshelves totalling 74 shelves!

I am sooo a book junkie too! You scored some great deals!!

I went to a huge flea market thing yesterday. Made it all the way through without buying a single book. I was doing GREAT and boom there it is, an Usborne stand!!! I about died! I had sworn unless I struck gold I wasn't buying any books (you know killer deals), so I didn't even allow myself to go in the tent...I even went back and was going to make a quick stop on my way out, but stopped myself. I knew if I went in there I was sooooo in trouble!

This is soooo funny. I am a bookaholic, I love going to the library and I love getting my magazines in the mail. I also will be reading out of 2 or more books at a time. I have one at work, and several at home I will peruse at my leisure (whenever that is). I also have some that I use to reference for homeschooling purposes that help me to remember that a different way of doing things is not bad.

A similar thing I have had to fight is fabric addiction. I have had to look at things realistically and realize that I cannot buy everything my heart desires. There are two reasons for that: I don't have enought time to work with that much fabric and I don't need to be spending that much money. So, sometimes I go and look at fabric and dream a little and then leave. I do indulge from time to time, just not every time I go to a fabric store.

Glad I'm not alone! I spent hours this weekend clearning out books and supplies that all three of my kids are finished with thinking I would have more room around here. It was just starting to look great when a neighbor told me about a yard sale down the street. A teacher retiring and selling everything!!!! Needless to say I don't have the room anymore! I couldn't help it though all books 25-50 cents. Games $1.50 cents. It was just too good to pass up.
