    Lets see....

All three students will be using My Father's World Exploring Countries and Cultures for History, Bible and Science. We'll also have SOME of our language arts based on fiction from their recommended resources.

My two oldest will be using Teaching Textbooks for Math, and my youngest will be using Horizon's K.

Two oldest will use Easy Grammar for Grammar.

I'm considering getting Spelling Power for spelling.....but just debating at this point. MFW recommends it. Not sure if I want to do that, though.

Using IEW for Writing - sort of. Disappointed my kids didn't like Writing Strands as much as I did. Oh well. I bought just ONE book of IEW on their suggestion, hoping to borrow a friends Teacher DVD set to prep for it. But....we'll see. My daughter loves the look of it. Not sure how I feel about it....I LOVE Andrew Pudewa....but we'll see how the program works LOL :)

My youngest will do Starfall, officially, I think. And using A Reason for Handwriting for that. She does know how to read, I think I just want to make sure she's got phonics rules well. I'll use superteacherworksheets.com for her spelling, too, I think. (she wants spelling!)

    I think that's it.....I think.

IF we get to have dgs with us for kindy this fall (big IF right now, but we'll see) I want to do some of the Bible Stories to Read and Bible Stories to Color, and some of the Calvary Chapel Sunday School stuff from the internet. For preacademics, I want to use the rest of the ABC Readiness Series from R&S (the C through G books). I want to use the CLE Learning to Read. I have Lifepac Math K on the shelf. I may go ahead and get the CLASS Liberty Math K and sort of switch it back and forth, just pulling pages as I go. Between these and little workbooks on this 'n' that from WalMart and the Dollar store, and plenty of read-alouds, Library Day, arts 'n' crafts (and playdoh and legos), and some little "units" I've made up myself for science and social studies, we should be able to keep him busily learning (without overloading) on any given day.

CHOICES< I mean, not all of this in one day!!! LOL!

Yes - everything except math, foreign language, typing, Spelling Skills, and Writing Strands. I'm really looking forward to 4th grade!

    5th grade dd:

    AmblesideOnline Year 5
    Math Mammoth 5
Life of Fred Fractions & Decimals & Percents
    Singapore CWP 4
    MCT Town series
I have CW-Homer, but am not feeling too enthusiastic about actually doing it. We'll see.
    violin

    3rd grade ds:

Pull together books from WTM suggestions & use selections from SOTW3 so that he's doing his own version of AO 5.
    Right Start D
    Singapore CWP 2
WWE 3--not sure if I'll buy the book or just pull selections from his books
maybe FLL 3--didn't do this with dd, but I don't think he's ready for MCT Island & I do think he'll need to be doing something so that he doesn't forget all his grammar
I have CW-Aesop. Not sure we'll actually use it this upcoming year. Might just do it orally
    violin

    Together
    Bible/Truth & Grace memory work
    Various read-alouds
    Shakespeare/Plutarch/Picture Study/Poetry
    Nature Study (I hope!!!)
    science experiments
    might get Creepy Crawlies
will probably do some freewriting ala Bravewriter

I'm trying to decide if I'll buy another Latin program for dd or if I'll just have the two of them work on vocab, declensions, & conjugations & then buy a program in a couple of years. I might get Pandia Press's Modern Times when we get to 1850. It looks like it would be useful & since you can try it for 9 weeks first, it's basically failsafe.

My problem is that he isn't even reading it. He might read one page or two, then skip a few and say that he's finished. Which doesn't work when you have to answer workbook pages about it! I may use it as a once a week oral reading, or just wait. I haven't really decided yet. :)

I would just go by how he reacts. If he's having fun, then push him with it. If he seems overwhelmed then I'd take it easier.
