I don't usually ask for for prayer for something vehicular but we need some prayers right now. On the way to church the cars brakes went out. No fluid in the master cylinder so there must be a leak somewhere. We had to turn around and come back home. No church this morning which is very disappointing. This month is screaming tight because dh get layed off for a week and we have 2 major yearly bills that are coming out of the budget. Please prayer that we can get the car fixed quickly and cheaply. We only have one so there's no backup. Thanks. Marty
Thanks for asking! Yes we're fine. I was driving and was able to limp it back home. Thankfully we live on a gravel road so you can't drive very fast. We were less than a 1/2 mile from the house when we turned around so we didn't have far to travel back. Marty
A small note- Dh was able to find the leak in the brake line! A dear friend from church helped us get to the parts store so we could get the pieces needed. Hubby has the new brake lines on. All that's left is to bleed the lines which we can do later after it cools down a bit. It's 90+ degrees in the shade and I don't want dh to drop over from heatstroke! Marty
Update: Hubby and I tried to bleed the front brakes. We managed to get them bled enough to have about 1/2 the braking power of normal. That means there is still air in the system somewhere. So tomorrow I'm taking it into the shop to have them bleed the brakes properly. Dh can't take it in because he has a prior commitment that the neighbor is graciously getting him to. So if I can impose one more time asking for prayer, please pray I get the car safely to the shop and they'll take care of what's needed for a little bit of nothing. Thanks in advance! Marty
I have an appointment at 11 this morning at the repair shop. Now I just have to get the car in there. Marty
Update and a "Thank you God!" Brakes are fixed! The repair shop was able to bleed them. Now I can stop the car without the fear of using someone else's bumper as extra padding! I was able to get there safely which was a big thing since I had to take my little guy with me! And it didn't cost too much. God was merciful! Marty
