I just wanted to share a pic of my new kitty we will be getting this Friday. Her name is Socks, and she is 8 weeks old!
all my kids loved the picture of Socks........ I hope thats a toy in the picture not a real dead fish....lol
LOL! No, that's the side of her sibling's head. That's Patch...she's a calico, and beautiful. There are 6 kitties in the litter total.
So, so sweet! It almost looks like she has a little white moustache if you look closely. I wish we could have a kitty. DH is very allergic!
She does have a white mustache of white fur on her lip! I call it her milk mustache. That's why I fell in love with her!
Jennie it's so cute. They are so sweet like when they are babies. Took the girls to a zoo this week end and we had a wonderful time with all the new babies they had there. Tons of babies what a good time to go.
Well, we finally have Socks home!!! She's so cuddly! We introduced our 5 year old cat, Taz (my avatar) to her. Socks hissed at him slightly, and he ran away. What a chicken!!! He's not fond of the little girl, but he did let me hold him and let Socks smell his face. You know when a kid makes him/herself "limp" when they don't want to do something? That's what he did when I went to go pick him up! He sat on my lap for a bit and he let her come up to him. She sniffed him for awhile, not even bothered by him after that...then he proceeded to jaunt up the stairs and stare at her through the hole in the railings until he made a beeline for the bedroom after she looked at him again. He's now under my son's bed waiting for her to "go home".
My babies are now 8 months old. My two older cats still hate them. They will hiss and growl whenever one of them comes walking by. I wish they could all get along.
We brought Socks home on Friday. Our Taz was NOT a happy camper! He was pretty mad at us. Little 2 pound Socks hissed at him...Taz is 18 pounds mind you...and HE ran away! What a chicken. We found the two of them sniffing each other today and not running from each other, so it's a quite a bit better today. At least they can now be in the same room with each other.
Here is the initial reaction we got from our sweet little Taz...look at the expression on his face as he watches Socks play!
That is about the way mine acted and still acts today. Maybe one day we will all be one big happy family.
