I found this link in a lapbooking email. Is it not the coolest idea? It'd be a space saver!

So cool. I would love to do that. The brightly colored rooms are great.

I would LOVE to have a room like the one in the first picture. Hmm do we really need a garage for our car

My husband builds sunrooms and replaces gutters alot. I wonder if some old ones that he normally throws out would clean up ?

That is what I wanted hubby to make for the kids books! Only I was thinking of using corner moulding. Rain gutters would hold more books though :)

Yes the guttering cleans up. You can spray paint some of it, so it would be great if you can custom color it to fit a room. Just pick up new mounting hardware at Lowe's (or any other hardware store).

I especially love the picture of the ones at the bunkbeds. Can't wait till I get moved into the new house and can do this for DS.

so what do they use specifically to mount it? I would think it would have to be in a stud too do hold much weight?

I just showed this to my DH and asked if we can do this in our new house, he said probably not. Its a double wide and the walls do not have studs every 18 inches like in our current house. Has anyone else done something like this in a mobile/double wide?

I have a new place for one. In the new house we have what my dad called a water closet. It has just the toilet and a sink next to it. When seated you are facing a wall with a window. It's so small that 6 inches prevent you from hitting your knees. I want to put one of these shelves/gutters under the window to hold magazines and what ever else I think of that will fit. The door opens to that wall and a regular shelf wouldn't work.

I showed this to my husband and he went nuts :D Our 4 boys share a bedroom that was once a 2 car garage, and we didn't want to clutter up all the open floor space with bookshelves.(high ceilings so we put a small basketball goal in there) We just bought new bunk beds and are in the process of painting, but he is totally excited about this idea. You could not have posted at a better time!
