I was out yesterday and came upon a yardsale. Since I hadn't been at a single one this summer, I decided to stop. When I saw this sitting there, I HAD to have it. It was marked $5, but I offered her $3 and she took it. I can't believe the deal I got for $3. Look at all it does! I think I got a pretty good deal. These sell on eBay from anywhere between $40 - $60.
OH, MY!!! I think I would have given the $5 and been happy! How awesome!!! Does it work? (If it doesn't it's still worth the $3!!!)
Yep, it works. I brought it home and took some C batteries out of a toy and it works just fine. There's even a spot to plug in an adapter, so I think I might pick one up and save on the batteries. I'm so proud of my find! HEHE
My 6yo wants a globe very badly. When I was young we had a standard globe, but I was thinking of getting him one like this! Good for you!

We have one similar to that but I had to ask my mom for it for Christmas. None of my ps mom friends understood why I wanted a globe as MY gift. I'd snatch that up too even though I already have one!
I love these globes! We used to have one that I found at goodwill for $5 but after a few months the globe had a horrible mishap with a bathtub full of water...
I miss going to yard sales, but out here it's so hot that the yard sales begin at 5am and end by 11 or 12, There is no way I'm getting up at 4 to go to yard sales at 5!
Awesome find!!Don't you just LOVE yard sales?? We need a globe too. The one we have is so old that it has the USSR on it. Not complaining though. It was free.
