I was just told about a website that some of you might be interested in. It's called "Homeschoolers for Bush". While it does have a definte political agenda (or I would assume so with that name!!!), it also has lesson plans, etc. that will take you through the next five weeks of the elections. The thing I DON'T like is that the lessons for this week are up; you'll have to wait until next week for the Week 2 plans! I am assuming that if you don't agree with Bush, you could still find many of the activities useful, or can re-word some of it. The first week's lesson had more to do with the importance of being registered to vote; I didn't notice anything that a Kerry voter wouldn't find useful. Here's the site:

Thanks, Jackie, I'll check it out. Although our kids are only ages 7, 5, and 4, they seem very interested in the political news -- I must watch it too much.

My son is very, very in tune with the election. This is the time I really wish we had TV channels so we could tune into the debate Thursday. Anyone know what time it will air and what stations? I just might have to raid my folks' place to watch--it won't change my vote, but I am very anxious to see what happens during the debate.

    Brooke,

I'm sure it will be on all the major networks and for sure will be carried on the cable/satellite all-news channels (I'm a Fox News person myself). I'm kind of a news junkie. My parents watched the news all the time, so I grew up watching it and I feel really out-of-touch if I haven't seen the news and don't know what's going on.

If this is the website I think it is - this was written by a teenage boy. His mother is on another forum I am apart of.

    Trudy,

I get my news from FoxNews.com mostly. The newspaper around here will run stories that FoxNews posted days earlier. I want to see the debates live, though, so I'll be hitting up my mom and dad to watch them....of course, we all are leaving at 5am the next morning for my brother's wedding, so it might be a tough sell! :?
