Hi all! I am Karly, mom to 3 little people. DS is 8, DD is 6, and DS is 3. We are starting homeschooling for the first time this fall. The kids were a bit upset at first - feeling sad about not seeing all their friends from the PS - but DH and I held firm and told them this is the best choice for our family at this time. Since we've made our decision, I am feeling more and more at peace with the whole thing. I know it won't be easy at times, but I have FAITH that it's the best thing for US and our family. God has placed this burden on me and I'm up for the challenge! I'm new to this board, but not this type of board in general. I can't wait to get more involved!
Hi Karly! What type of methods or systems are you going to be using? I'm just a little curious since my wife and I are just getting started as well.
Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcome. I have bought mostly Abeka stuff, figuring I'd start there and see how we like it. We have also joined a co-op for Ancient History using Story of the World. I'm excited about that!
