This is my first yr homeschooling all 3 of my girls(9,6,3). I've always dreamed of homeschooling all of them, but thought I just couldn't do it... After 4 yrs of public school, my oldest was beyond bored with the slow reviewing pace and even began to dislike school. From day one of kindergarten we both just patiently waited until 3rd grade for the gifted classes, only to finally make it and find out it's a bust. Through that process of testing I had the opportunity to talk to a lot of teachers/dr's only to really see/have them tell me that all these children are just thought of as numbers. Anything to get or maintain funding... That combined with my daughter coming home only knowing what BCE (before common era) and ACE (after common era) is instead of BC and AD. I'm a very easy going person when it comes to religious things. All my girls attended a Jewish preschool..but that REALLY bothered me. Can they get anymore politically correct...should they now change the name of Christmas when mentioned in school???
