I am looking for a fun and good spelling software that will drill my 5th grader. I used oddyseyware(sister co for SOS) I loved the spelling drills, but didn't like the rest of the curriculum. So here I am looking for a good one. Are there any?

Spelling City? Some of the sequential spelling lists are on there.

A while back, someone at the Spot requested the same thing, so I created a quiz with almost 500 words in the test bank. 5th graders have 5 minutes to answer 20 spelling questions (multiple choice). It costs nothing, so feel free to try it out.

Go to www.sharedstudy.com. Login as 'spot-student' and use the password 'homeschool'. Select the 'Quiz' tab, and you'll see two versions of the 5th grade spelling quiz: one with the timer and one without. Each time your student takes the quiz, they'll see a different set of words. They can go back at any time and review answers to previous quiz attempts.

Note: If more than one person logs in to the account at the same time and attempts the quiz, it will mess up any quiz attempt under way. If you'd rather have your own account (instead of the generic 'homeschool spot' one), just let me know and I'll set it up.

I forgot about spelling city. I think that might just be what I am looking for. Thanks Steve, your sight looks interesting also. I will have to look it over more in depth.

Hi. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I've found these awesome apps: dotYum and dotZoo at the appStore. The games are really fun, and you can modify settings for the kids to spell different parts of the words, of a whole word. My daughter loves them! Hope it helps!
