Have you become the go to study partner/tutor to all your friends and family? LOL

I was just wondering if it was just me???

I have a friend going to school for her teaching degree and she asks for my help a lot. I've helped her with just basic college core classes and with education classes. We designed a unit study, she used my son for a child development project, etc.

Now, the high schooler next door wants to come over tonight so I can help her with biology cause she is failing.

So is it just me or did this happen to all of you to? LOL

No. I'm not the study partner. lol. That would be better than what I've become. lol I'm the "Oh you homeschool so you stay home all the time and can watch my kid" person. lol I don't mind too much, but I still get a little perturbed when people just assume I'm never busy. lol

I'm in the same boat as you, Meg.... although I also run our business, people assume I don't have anything going on. Kind of irksome.... :)

Nobody's asked me for school or study help yet, and that's okay.

Yes! Just recently all the little neighbor kids have been asking to come over for homework help. Some of them I gladly help because I know their parents are still at work and they really do just need a grown up to tell them how to get started. Another family are recent immigrants from Russia and the parents can't read English very well yet, so I'm glad to help. The rest are just taking advantage of me and I know it. Their parents are home but find it more convenient to have me help their kids.

Well no one is taking advantage yet. The neighbors help the 7 year old with her homework, but no one in the house graduated high school or even has a GED so high school classes aren't so easy for them to help with...I don't even think they try to help the high schooler....so I don't mind.
