I told a woman from the homeschool group I just joined, that DS would not attend this weeks co-op class because I've been places on bed rest.
Well, this wonderful woman took it upon herself to set up a 'care calendar' for me, so that group members could volunteer to bring my family a meal for dinner while I'm confined to bed! Several people have already signed up!
I am heating up a delicious looking chicken pot pie that she made for me, and really just overwhelmed with how kind and thoughtful this all is.
Another member saw the care calendar, and offered to take DS to the co-op class next week.
I JUST joined the group 2 weeks ago, so these people are all basically strangers. I must admit that they are completely restoring my faith in humanity!
I feel very blessed right now.
I can't wait to be off of bed rest (probably not before the baby is born), so that I can repay all of this kindness that is being so freely given to me.

This is great, praise the Lord. Sorry, to read you are on bed rest. I was on bed rest for 4 months before and 2 months after my last ds was born. People brought us meal 4-5 days a week. I didn't like it at all at first, but it became a very humbling experience. Enjoy the meals and the bed rest, if you can. Take care and you and your baby will be in my prayers.

    Thank you so much!

I'm honestly in shock. We don't really have a lot of friends or family close by, so this was just very unexpected!

How wonderful that your group is helping out like this. I hope everything goes well and don't forget to let us know when the little one gets here. We LOVE hearing about new babies!

    I will!
She'll be born soon, there's only 2 1/2 weeks until my due date, and depending on the lab results I get on Friday, the dr may induce me earlier.

I was on bed rest for 2 weeks with my first (I was preeclamptic)-it was bad enough with not having any kids to take care of, I feel for women who have to go on bed rest with children already in the house! What a blessing to have found such a great group of ladies! Thanks for sharing, your post made me smile :)

Wow. Now that's the Hands and Feet of Christ! I love that.

We experienced something very similar after the birth of our youngest. People that I didn't expect to care b/c they didn't know me well...showered me with unbelievable blessings!

Praying for you, on bedrest, homeschooling (((HUGS)))
