OMG so excited to find this site. I've been looking for a free Spanish resource for next year (as my son requested to learn Spanish and I don't know Spanish LOL) and I just played with this site for a few minutes and I am VERY excited about it, it looks really good. They offer many other languages as well. http://www.livemocha.com/
Try this for fun if you are interested in Spanish... http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/mividaloca/
Why does it say it is only for ages 13 and over? I thought Emily might like it, but I don't understand why she has to be 13 first.
I think it's just a thing, most sites require you to be 13 or over to sign up, might be some law or something. I made my 6 year old his own FB page, but had to lie about his age. Many sites don't allow anyone under 13. It's a child safety on the internet thing. I plan on getting both my kids their own account there, I'll just lie about their age LOL
This is a great site but before anyone uses it please know that it is a social site. So there will be some interacting with other people. They grade your work. Just watch the young ones. You have to 13 to sign up for sites because federal law says that you cannot store any information about anyone under the age of 13. Just sign yourself up and let your child do the work if you are comfortable with that.
