Last night, my younger daughter needed to create over 30 flash cards. We went to quizlet, and the task was complete in less than 20 minutes. I was very impressed with the site.
The really neat thing is that, once you type a word, you can click on 'definitions' - which brings up a list of all definitions submitted by members. Just click on the definition you prefer, and the text is added automatically. This is why it took us so little time to create the cards.
We use that site a bunch. What is really great is that many textbooks/curricula have flashcards already made. For example, our dd's vocabulary work is in Word Within the Word and all the word lists are already made and available. She has also found Spanish vocabulary from two different textbooks she has used and Biology terms from her Biology text. We have made a few lists, but was nice finding so many already there.
My daughter is going to ADORE this!!!! She's been making up her own flash cards for her Vocabulary program!!!! She hates writing sometimes, but typing, she loves typing!!!!
I can't wait to use this. I am going to let my DS set them up. He gets a lesson while he does it, and have the cards to review.
