Fruit or Veggie Pizza Ingredients: A ready made pizza crust (or make your own), A large tub of cream cheese (For a fruit pizza, the fruit-flavored cream cheeses are really good - I particularly like the strawberry and pineapple ones. For a veggie pizza, sometimes I use regular cream cheese, and sometimes I get some of the dip-flavored kinds. They're all good.) Either fruits or veggies. Veggies I often use: carrots, red onions, bell peppers, radishes, broccoli, zucchini and/or summer squash, cucumbers, grape or cherry tomatoes, fresh thyme or basil, fresh cilantro or parsley. For a veggie pizza, I also add shredded cheese. Sharp cheddar is really good with this. Fruit options: apples (one red, one green... I like Jonagolds or Braeburns for the red apple, and Granny Smiths for the green), pears, peaches or nectarines, kiwi, grapes (cut in half), pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries - really, ANY berry! - fresh mint. If you use bananas, add them at the very last minute so they aren't brown and smooshy. You can use frozen fruit or berries, but let them thaw and drain first, or it makes a soggy mess. Slice the fruit/veggies. When I do veggie pizzas, I use my food chopper so the bits are almost like confetti. For fruit, I don't slice them quite so small, but think tiny! Mix all of the diced bits together and look at the mix. You want a variety of colors and textures all blended together. Bake the pizza crust as directed. While the crust is still warm, spread it with the cream cheese. CUT THE CRUST NOW!!! Push the pieces back together after cutting. Cover the cream cheese with your fruit pieces/veggie confetti. The hardest part of this recipe is cutting all of the fruit/veggies. The fun part is being creative with the ingredients. You can make a Greek version by adding olives and feta cheese and some balsamic vinegar .... Or add walnuts or pecans... or bacon bits.. salad sprinkles... raisins... sunflower seeds... goldfish (the crackers, not the fish! LOL)... whatever sounds fun! It's easy to eat, it's healthy, it's really pretty, and people like it.
This is my favorite, and every time I make them everyone always asked for the recipe. Ham and Cheese Rolls 1 doz Hawaiian Rolls Thinly Sliced Lunch Meat Ham Shredded Cheese 1 Stick Butter 1 ½ Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce 1 ½ Tbsp. Onion Flakes 1 ½ Tbsp. Poppy Seeds 1 ½ Tbsp. Mustard Spray bottom of pan and then layer with bottom half of rolls. Top that with sliced ham and cheese. Put top of rolls on that. Melt butter and add other ingredients until well mixed. Pour butter mixture over rolls just before baking. (Don’t mix these ingredients until you are ready for them.) Try to completely cover the bread with the mixture and use all of it. Bake at 325 for 20-30 min. Best served hot.

Tortilla Rolls Mix 8 oz Cream Cheese 1 pkg. Ranch Dressing Mix Spread on Tortillas Top with Shaved Ham Roll up tight and slice. MMM MMM GOOD!!!
My friend at church takes one 8oz cream cheese, one can of vanilla cake frosting and a sprinkle of cinnamon and mixes it together and serves it with fresh sliced apples. It was a big hit Sunday night at our Sunday evening meal.
Frozen meatballs (not italian style)heated in a crockpot with a bottle of chili sauce and a squeeze bottle of grape jelly (or however many oz that is from a jar of jelly). People can never guess that it has grape jelly since it turns out to almost a bbq taste, but not quite...just delicious. (You do have to have plates and forks or toothpicks for these since they are a little more messy) French bread sliced and basil butter to spread on it. Put the following ingredients in a food processor and mix/chop/blend. 4 cloves garlic 15 leaves fresh basil 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 cup butter I have taken a block of cream cheese and put in food processor with I think about 4oz of deli ham, 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic. This can be served with crackers. My favorite cracker choice is the Nabisco Flatbread crackers, we love those. I have also done the tortilla rolls with cream cheese and green chiles.
azhomeschooler is right those meatballs are awesome! And also finger foods could include finger sandwiches. Or dip in a bread bowl with veggies. Cheese ball with crackers. Fruit tray with yogurt dip.
If you make this you might want to taste it without the cinnamon first. My friend makes it both ways. She adds the cinnamon when she is serving apples and leaves it out if she is having other fruit. Grapes are great with it I think.
Not read all other posts, but it would be kinda cute to make ham salad or pimento sandwhiches and use a house shaped cookie cutter....or even make the cookies in the shape of a home or something "homey".
Jennyb, you can buy at Costco Hummus(for a dip) and pita chips. Also you can add sliced fresh carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, celery. .
