First I want to say how thankful I am too all of you who suggested the Leap frog videos for my little visual learner. Not only have they helped her with letter recognition but they have greatly improved her understanding of phonics. I am so thrilled. I tested her today to see what letters she could write when asked to write upper or lower case. The only one she was stumped on was the lower case H. What a huge leap forward for her. Thank you again.
That is great! And I have to say that I am so in love with the Leap Frog videos too! I can't wait to pull them out for my youngest -- my oldest was about 2 1/2 and learned the letters and sounds within a week of watching the Letters video about once a day. (I didn't make him watch it, he just loved it!)
My daughter learned the letters and sounds at 2 1/2 too! Now she's 3 years and 3 months, and is writing letters on any paper she can find My girls are watching the Letter Factory right now.
My five year old still loves them! She more often watches the reader ones that cover things like silent e. It's good stuff!
