We are going to the Spider Pavillion!!! http://lam.mus.ca.us/site/explore-exhibits/special-exhibits/spider-pavilion WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!! These are free spinning spiders. We get to walk through the garden and there will be spiders hanging around wherever they spun their web. The toxic spiders and spiders who do not have webs will be in displays. We are going to be in spider heaven.
lo ew ew ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I hate spiders, well I am okay watching some through the window cause their webs are pretty but I think really like my blood cause they always bite me and I am really allergic to them so I get sick from it. Even a normal little dust spider can bite me! Lol I think I have a sign in spider on my skin that says ( T's Diner for Spiders and insects feed here" lol
I just read about this exhibit in a magazine... we are doing a mini preschool unit on spiders, and I have to tell you... my kids would love this, but mama would have a hard time, lol. Maybe we can get daddy to take them, hehe. I hope you have a great time!
Thanks! If I remember correctly, you can get some information about spiders from the museums web page.
I'm jealous too!! I would LOVE to go to that! My boys would really like it. the girls might not be as pleased. I've been to a butterly pavillion in Denver and we all LOVED it. Didn't know they had spider pavillions.. Too cool! Wish is were closer to me. I would go too. Have fun.
Have a great time! Good thing I'm not going or I would have to break my 'I see you, you die' spider rule! LOL
I have great respect for spiders and try my best not to kill them (unless it really is a dangerous one). Last night, my younger daughter was freaking out because a daddy-long-legs had found its way into the kitchen, but I was not going to kill it. Spiders are among the most fascinating of creatures.
Gah.. ok just looking at the pics on the site made my skin crawl. I don't think I could handle that! Good luck, please let us know when you have made it back safe so we know you havent' become spider chow!
