I am not sure what brand is a good brand. Recently I purchased a cheap, around $18.00, cordless for the house and the ringer is so low I have to carry it around the house in order to hear it. My sister also bought a cheap brand and she has the same problem. I do not know if the price has anything to do with it but come to think about it, my other sister also bought a cheap cordless and the ringer is too low.
I have an AT&T cordless, that I got at Walmart, for about $25.00, it comes with 2 handsets, and I just love it! Haven't had any problems with it.
Sounds like ours. I think ours is either AT&T or Sony. Got it at Walmart and it has worked well for the last 6 years we've had it.
