Hi all! I need some help. I just had a baby last week. My kids, son 4 and daughter 6, seem super bored since I'm busy with the baby right now. Plus its getting cold outside. Any ideas on how to keep them entertained all day?

movies....... you can get all kinds of educational ones from the library or netflix.

sewing cards........ either store bought or home made, use yarn with tape on the end to go through holes punched around large shapes.

coloring pages..... there are plenty of pages to print free online........ print holiday themed ones to hang up or to use for christmas cards.

have them sort dirty laundry into two piles.... light and dark

have them take a paper plate and a few magazines and cut out foods they think are healthy or all orange foods or fruits etc....

Playdough or salt dough, coloring/drawing, building toys like legos, educational videos, 'reading' books. Play Simon says with them or leapfrog, hide and seek (great hiding place in the bathtub behind the shower curtain lol), learn new songs with them, have them make up a play to entertain the baby with ;P, let them help bath baby or if you are giving it formula they can help feed baby, doubtful they want diaper duty lol. They can learn to sew at that age as well. Four year old could do lacing and older one can use a real needle. Crochet chains for the Christmas tree or for hanging cards up with super easy and addictive for little kids. Hope those help some.
