and I now have to cancel. So bummed because there are hardly any educational or even decent shows at our base libraries. We have already watched what can be watched from the libraries. It already a really long time for the netflix turnaround because we are in Japan and we cannot do the instant veiwing because of living in here. We were getting the $24.99 one and it went up to $27.99. If we were still in the states it may have been worth it but now it's not. I still have my everything but movie channels cable so we are not totally without TV. Guess I know have an extra $25 a month in my pocket.

Can you change your plan to 3 DVDs instead of 4? With the price hike 3 would be $20/mo which is less than you were paying?????

Can you look into another company? (not sure what your options are in Japan???)

I know this may not help...but if you get it streaming to your computer you can pay $7.99 a month unlimited...but NO DVDs. Does that help? Can you must get it online??

Yeah, my brother lives in France and he wishes he could do the instant streaming! Hopefully one day they will enable that, it would be huge for a lot of people!

I'm not sure if he knew he could have them shipped over there though?? Do you need to pay more having them shipped to Japan?

Just think of all the things you could do with that $25......

Wow! that is sad. I know we seen it go up here too, thinking it over now. We have trouble with streaming it seems to take awhile to download then it stops several times in the movie to download more.

stateside it was easy to watch instantmovies on the laptops. My destktop, not so much. She's going on six years old and doesn't like videos or even let me save pics on it. I don't see us missing it since it does take forever to get the movies to and from the company. We'd miss our cable more because we love our discovery and food network channels. Cartoon network for the younger two

Has anyone noticed that it's more and more difficult to stream movies from Netflix (at certain times of the day/week)? It seems that they have gotten a little "too big for their britches", and their server can't handle the demand at certain times. I love the little messege letting me know that my internet connection has slowed....guess they have to blame someone!

I haven't had any problems streaming (on the Netflix end), with the exception of one time, and Netflix sent an email saying they were having problems.... Netflix is our only source of TV and it's ALWAYS on LOL

Now if 2-3 people are on computers playing games, watching youtube, downloading/uploading photos, etc and we're trying to stream it will do that, but that's to be expected...

I will say it does suck for the fact that when your internet goes out....so does your TV-we had internet problems recently and were without tv and internet for 3-4 days. It was interesting but I'm not ready to give up my internet and TV for good LOL (Something I had been thinking about!)

It does take a long time to dowload movies, but we haven't had lots of trouble once the movies start. We stream ours through the wii, not online, so maybe that is the difference?
