Ladies I saw something last night on a blog (which lead to several blogs) that inspired me. I've never been good at really keeping "resolutions" but setting goals and achieving them just seems to click better in my head. I can work toward a goal but a "resolution" seems so tedious.

So what I read about was setting 52 goals for the new year. 52 weeks in a year is where the 52 comes from. That doesn't mean you have to do one thing per week. Just set 52 goals for yourself - it can be anything at all that YOU want to achieve for yourself - and then next January 1st or December 31st you can look back on those goals and see what you've checked off. If you don't achieve 52 who cares you will be able to see what you DID achieve.

I am begining my list this afternoon. I need to sit down and pay bills for the month and then I intend to begin my list. I've got about 10 in my head right now I could put down on paper and I hope to get Samantha to join me in this. I'd love dh to join me but I don't really see it happening. Maybe he will see my progress and decide to join me next year. I'm going to list it all in bullet point form and check it off as I go.

Anyone want to join me in this goal setting adventure?:)

That sounds like a great idea Tiffany!!! I think it'd work better for me if I had 52 "short term" goals, like if I did do 1 a week. I need INSTANT progress or I fail, everytime.

Okay I am trying to share my list but each time I post it the formatting gets all messed up. I will try again after another cup of coffee.

Not too bad actually! I am so sorry I havn't posted my list. I tried and the formatting was WAY off, then I had to deal with a sick teenager for the last few days. I guess since copy/paste isn't working I will just type the whole thing. Tomorrow.

    I am doing really well at #s 1 - 6.

I have got a great start on #22 and am enjoying it very much.

I have accomplished #s 27 & 28!!!! The organizing of the cabinets took all day! My husband came home last weekend with a used John Deere Gator which happened to be half the cost of what we had saved for one!

#42 is an monthly thing, we did attend this months skate day and had a blast! This will certainly be something we keep up.

#46 is done! Went off in the mail yesterday!

#47 - don't judge me! lol! Yes I know my dd is almost 8 years old and no she can't properly tie her shoes. I have tried and tried to teach her. She knows the mechanics of how to do it, she just can't get it right. This is something we will accomplish!

Many of these things will take place in the spring and summer and some of these things will be ongoing all year. Nothing about these things are earth shattering but they are things that are important to me. Everyone's lists will be very different. Let's see yours!

Great list. Thank you for sharing. I think I am going to have to make my #1 ~finish list. When I do, I'll share.

As far as teaching Grace to tie her shoe. Have you used two different colors of laces in a shoe that she doesn't have on her foot? I have taught many of children to tie their shoes (use to own a day care) and this was usually a huge and quick success.
