all out? Well, I am going to start FlyLady this coming Monday. My house isn't a mess. I do have some closest and drawers that need to be cleaned out, but more than that I just need to get in some kind of routine and have a schedule. So, do you suggest I start off doing all that I plan on using or doing the 31 day step by step plan? Any other input you want to suggest about using FlyLady is welcome. Thanks ahead of time for you time and answers.
I would do the step by step plan. It wouldn't overwhelm, you know you can get it done that way, no stressing to live up to getting it all done at one time, and what you do each day will stick (more chance to absorb and keep doing it).
I did it step by step but I didn't do one step at a time always-if it was an easy step, I might would do more than one step a day when I started out. Like one of the days was just keep doing what you are doing-well of course I skipped ahead to the next day to add something new... What the 31 day plan does is adds on 'chore' each day so you can get used to it slowly instead of getting overwhelmed by trying to implement a new system all in one day-then if you don't get it ALL done that first day, it's going to leave you feeling bad or that it just won't work-so I say go with the 31 baby steps, but if you want to 2-3 steps a day, fine, feel good about those things, it'll motivate you for the next day....but don't start out doing it all at once. Good luck-I'm a flybaby, but I'm not a graceful flier LOL
I love to hate the flylady! I would second what Sonita said. I did it the same way she did. I did take a couple days together. I also read the emails and if there was something that I really wanted to do I would do it too. Just because I wanted too. I stress the tie shoes. I think they suck I hate shoes but they are what makes my day work fast.
Flylady is all about setting a routine and sticking to it. I would definitely start off doing one step at a time with the goal of eventually having your own control journal to follow each and every day. I have my control journal all finished and I follow it everyday and I LOVE it! My house stays way neater than it ever did before and I don't have to worry about being embarassed if I have surprize visitors (like my dad who ALWAYS shows up unannounced). My house is always clean! I have to admit that it was a little overwhelming for me at first but I love it now. Be blessed, ~Dawn~
I fall off the bandwagon every couple of months and I even make baby steps when getting back on the bandwagon. I always start with my kitchen and 15 minutes here and there...it really is a great system and what makes it so great is you can totally tailor it to suit your house and family.
We have just started it last monday, and love it! my kitchen is great, my bathrooms get cleaned daily, just making my bed and putting a little eyeshadow on has made all the difference! the kids are getting use to it, and as i had my wisdom teeth out yesterday and stayed in bed a little later today, the kids didnt get up, make bed, get dressed etc and so they were all really naughty and all over the place, but once they were dressed etc they calmed down a bit, still not angels but on there way
I truly need FlyLady..I tell people not to drop without 3 days notice! lol I can't seem to get a routine and stick to it. You ladies inspire me!
