whatever you have out there. I need tons and tons of dental work done.

First I have to find insurance we can afford, to much to come out of our pockets. Any ideas would be helpful..

Second. I know I need tons of pulling and whatever else they feel like doing.

But, my biggest problem is I am so scared of dentist its not funny. I mean scared. I get so sick... Man I wish I was strong when it came to dentist.

Them little guys scare me.. or I should say women. They just plan scare me.

Kris, I know what you mean, I don't like to get dental work done either. I like my dentist, but not the work they do. I don't have any idea about dental insurance, maybe someone else does. I will pray that you will have peace about getting this done.

Insurance- can you add an insurance policy to whatever health insurance you have? I think that even after you get insurance, there is a cap on what they will pay out and usually a waiting period before benefits kick in. Most dentists have extended payment plans with no interest for a set period of time, it may help.

The dentist- I would ask for laughing gas or a "coctail" that makes you not care what they do to you while you're there. They should have something, and I hear it works like a dream.

I will send up some prayers and send over some happy thoughts for you.

You know what else actually helps some is to ask for a cold compress while you are laying back. Silly I know but it does work :)

I have two thoughts. First most dental insurances that I looked into had a long waiting period. Some of them were up to a year, for major work. One of them wanted a list from the dentist of work that needed to be done, and those things were not covered. It was cheaper for us to just save the money, the dentist gave us a huge discount since we were paying cash. Second you should get the twilight stuff ( where they knock you out) My dh is a horrible dental patient and he did great with that. He has been told to not come back! It actually made it cheaper, because they did all the work at one time, and didn't have to numb him twice etc.
