I'm not seeing the usual verbiage in the LPs that would prohibit legal sale of the TMs. IDK for certain. I'd check with AOP. Many, many, many curriculum distributors do not allow resale. This is not a unique situation to AOP.
As much as I disagree with the policy, I at least understand their thinking, since it's computer based. But Lifepacs isn't. What non-computer curriculum aren't resellable?
okay I was told one time buyer is okay with SOS, meaning if I used it, I can sell it once. Or maybe it was because my friend lent it to me ? Anyway I have bought used versions and spoke to the AOP people back in the days about it that was what they said, two families back then. LPs you can re sell all you want, I think I understand SOS wanting to keep it limited because we could print the lessons out and sell them as booklets otherwise you know?
Oh goodness. I can't remember who it was now, but there was a thread on here a couple of years ago about some smaller companies that did not allow resale.
I bought the SOS Science and Language Arts for my DD to use for next year. This is our first attempt at hsing. So far she likes the Science program. She hasn't started the L.A. yet and has only started the Science (first unit) but I have found that it is very self-explanatory for the most part. We haven't gotten to the tests yet but our little "trial" period has been a positive one. I will not be using the math next year for sure (heard some pretty horrible stories about it.) but will stick to the Science and Language Arts with an added Vocabulary and Spelling program (only because I feel ps has let my DD down by not teaching enough of it up until now). We'll use Saxon for Math. Back to the point...I would order ONE subject of SOS and let your child try it. (If you can't find someone local who has a program) It is my understanding that you can't resell the program, but they allow a one time transfer to someone else...trade programs with someone maybe? Check out their site to confirm though because I just took a risk and bought two programs with no concern about reselling them this time. Good luck!
