Are you talking about the public school? If so, I already checked. They won't even consider it. They said they don't offer any type of testing, services, etc. unless a child is clearly struggling (which means they're homebound for medical reasons most of the time). They NEVER give gifted tests before age 8 regardless of whether you're HS'd or PS'd. I'm sooo not impressed with our district. Fancy-schmancy stadiums. Lack of concern for education.

Thanks! I didn't realize that. The only thing I know about UNT is that it's a great music school. I considered it for a masters back when I was young and care free. It's not anywhere close to me, though. Do you know if she does the WPPSI and SB-5 together?

I bet it is closer than Denver, and cheaper though!
Years ago she preferred the WISC to the SB-5 for gifted kids, but I don't know what she thinks of the WPPSI. I've heard many people say they recommend waiting until a child is 6 for the WISC or using the SB-5 (normed down to age 5, I think) instead of the WPSSI but I don't know her thoughts on that. She felt the SB-5 systemically underscored gifted kids compared to the WISC. However, the WISC has some timed components that bother some kids and they might prefer the SB-5.

    Good luck on your search!
