I am thinking about taking the kids for a few days to Colonial Williamsburg in September for the homeschooling days. Has anyone attended? Was it worth it? How long did you stay?

We will be studying colonial America this spring during a unit on Ben Franklin, and could just as easily do all of the historical sites here in Philadelphia (but we did many of them during a "stay-cation" two summer ago).

    Thanks!

My friend went and said it is really good, though I can't give you a lot of details. We are planning to go in the next year or two. The September homechool weeks are far cheaper than the regular prices, so I think it is a great time to go.

We just went to their homeschool days about 3 weeks ago. We LOVED it! They give great discounts on admissions, lots of stuff to do and my kids had so much fun, as did we. We didn't get to do everything there was and I would really like to go back sometime.

Housemom4--how long did you stay, or how long would you suggest? We want to visit Jamestown/Yorktown, too. Thanks!

I went with my family when we were younger. I am a homeschool graduate. It was a good experience... Philadelphia is better though! Boston too!
