Hi my name is Jacie. I'm from Beaumont texas. I have 2 boys, corbin is 7, 2nd grade and caleb is 4, not in school yet but maybe this august. our church started a school of 3 students. we use a.c.e. 4 parents work 2 days a week with the kids. there are always 2 parents at the school. I consider it homeschool because we meet in a friends home. We chose homeschool based mostly on our christian faith. our families think we are crazy and going overboard but when God says "blessed is the man that walk not in the council of the ungodly" we believe him! lol and we are blessed for the decision we've made. plus my son is dyslexic and has a.d.d. he would never excel in a public school the way he does now. It's extra work but we also don't have to put him on any meds this way. i'm looking to connect with other homeschool moms get advise tell funny interesting stories whatever! just have fun. hope to get to know you all soon. Welcome! I have a homeschooling friend who shared the teaching responsibility with a couple other Christian families when her kids were young just like your set up. So glad you found us!
Welcome Jace! We have family in Beaumont and both me and my husband grew up in Orange. We are in Fort Worth now. Sometime family is the hardest to convince this is the right thing for "your" family. You are doing the right thing.
