Hi everyone and HAPPY MONDAY!! We will be done with school in four weeks. As in done with our curriculum. I have twin boys and one is really on board and learning to read, but the other is either not getting it or just lazy! Anyway I was wondering if anyone could recommend a phonics program on the computer. Either on CD or maybe something I pay for(depending on the cost)on the internet. I want to continue to do phonics during our down time/summer, but want it to be FUN. Maybe like 2-3 days a week. We do not use the computer much now so I thought something on the computer would be more fun for the boys. We will not begin school until the end of August or September. Am I wrong to think that is too long to go without anything? Oh BTW we are finishing up kindergarten. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks Shelby! We have used Starfall before and still do from time to time. I love it, but was hoping for something new and different.
We use clicknkids.com Love it-my older son thinks it's great fun! Also-the price is for a lifetime subscription, so after your son is done you can use it for another child! Readingeggs.com is fun, but it's a yearly subscription. My younger son prefers it over clicknkids. Both good programs.
Explode the Code online -- yearly subscription available through homeschoolco-op.com. It's a complete phonics program, so this might be heavier than you want, but it's a good program.
Thanks everyone! I actually have friend who uses Explode the Code. And I have been looking at that. I am off now to check out clicknkids. Thanks again! Happy HUMP Day!!!!
