I am such an emotional wreck right now. I am angry, sad, confused and every other emotion you can imagine. As I wrote in a previous post about a month ago the company we hired to move us ended up being a scam. We were hoping to get our stuff back, but at this point I am not sure it will happen. I found a group of people online that have been scammed by this company and the more we all dig the more horrors we uncover. I have contacted everyone I can think of, the police, the transportation dept, the DOT, the FBI, news stations. The DOT called the moving company and told them to give my stuff back and they told the DOT guy to $@#! off. He then told me there was nothing he can do for us. I have the FBI looking into it but they are only concerned because they are stealing money off my credit card. I am working with the sheriffs office from where I moved from and he called them and told them they are breaking the law and they laughed at him and hung up. He called back and told them he needs to see their business license and the contract I signed. The faxed him the contract BUT they altered it and forged my signiture on about 15 other pages.

So, if any of you have actually read this far I am asking for prayers. I can deal with the loss of furniture, but all the personal items I can't deal with losing those. My kids have cried more than I want to admit because they lost so many things that were given to them by important family members.

I need the Lord to intervene and help the sheriff understand that they are actually scamming me and help him understand the need for a search warrant so we can go clip the locks on the unit we think our stuff is in. If any of you are willing to offer us prayers PLEASE do so. I know the Lord is good and will help us, I just need more prayers.

I am so sorry this is still going on. I had hoped you had your belongings by now. My kids would be upset over losing personal things too. I hope it gets worked out soon and they have to return everything to you, but it doesn't sound good. I will be praying. Beth

That is awful. The word needs to get out on these people!

Have you also contacted the BBB and your States Attorney General?

    I'll be praying for you.

Absolutely contact the attorney general. Unfortunately, moving company scams are not uncommon. We were told never to search online for one and to get references. Can you file a claim in court? Do you have copies of the cotracts to verify differences?

Praying that this can be resolved and that justice is served. (((HUGS!!!)))

Is the company you used on this list?

Maybe someone on their forum can give tips to help you anyway.

What mean people. I mean seriously, what....

I say contact your AG, be a thorn in the sheriffs side, and contact the BBB too. If anything, maybe someone else will see the BBB report and not use them. And I would push the local news stations and newspapers as well. If you can get a guy on the phone, sometimes it helps to cry a bit (shameless I know, but hey...)

I have filed reports with the AG in as many states I they had address along with the state I left and the one I moved to. I have also filds with the US DOT, FMCSA, the DOT is each state involved, the FBI and more.

The sheriff sent me wome paperwork that he got from them and they drew up a whole new contract and forged my signature. In fact there are 10 different pages all with forged signatures and each page has a different amount that I "owe" them. The sheriff knows they forged them, but his only advice at this point is to pay them and get my stuff and them sue them because the justice system is so slow and if we don't we might never get anything back.

I do have a news station out of Seattle that wants to do an investigative report on them. I am also working with the FBI because they are siphoning money off my credit card, but I still can't get my stuff!!! I have thought so many times that I should just fly out there and clip the locks myself....even if it is illegal...because who would press charges? The storage unit couldn't because the stuff is mine, and the moving company won't because they don't want to be caught.

My next move will be to notify the IRS that they are not paying taxes...which I am sure they aren't since they only take cash.

Frustrating beyond belief that people can take my stuff and never give it back and the law allows them to do it and they don't protect law abiding citizens.

I hear it can be a really big problem, and most law inforcement doesn't know what to do about it.

Praying for you and your kiddos.

I forgot to ad that these guys change theirs names and change company names more often than they change their underwear. That is why they are so hard to catch and take down. In fact the company name they used with us is no longer valid because they have already changed their name. I have found a group of people online that have been scammed by them and we are all getting together and compliing our stories and everything else we need so we can hand it in to the FBI office I am working with. If they can't catch them, no one will be able to. Between all these people who have been scammed by them we will take them down because we are all hell bent on getting them caught. This is not a regular moving scam it goes way beyond that. They are scamming people in real estate and gold and silver as well....

Oh my goodness that is so horrible, I'm so sorry it happened to you!

We have talked if we ever move again we are hiring someone to move us, but seriously after hearing your story never in a million years! Plus if we move again it will probably just be a few acres from where our house is now..so I guess it won't be worth us paying a fortune to do it.

I hope that something can be done, obviously these guys know what they are doing and it sure isn't making someones move easy.
