I have been plagued with migraines over the past couple of days (knock down, drag out, full blown ones). I used to get them all the time but have been fortunate enough to avert them. Not lately though.

I go to the doctor (who refilled my Imatrex today) to have my meds adjusted and I have an eye appointment on Friday to have my prescription updated. God willing that wil do the trick.

If you guys would pray for effective relief and sooner than later, I would appreciate it.

Okay, that was sort of sappy soundling last night, but seriously I had migraines that we called Mini Migraines because they were extreme in contnet and really fast... if I could just get through them I was okay. They gave me a Csan for them, and so I asked others for prayer about them... don't know why I hadn't prior to that? After the scan I have only had one maybe two in over a year and a half!
God is awesome, I just wanted to be encouraging not goofy , was kind of tired last night when I posted at first.
    In His love,

Actually when I read it, I was going to reply and say AMEN to that.

For the record... I feel like a human today - (knock on wood) not even a remote trace of any kind of headache or migraine \o/\o/\o/\o/ PRAISE THE LORD!

Brenda, I'm sorry about your migrains, maybe its the stress.

I went through almost a whole month of really bad head achs. I noticed yesterday I didn't have one............. I'm wondering now if it were my alergies the Paloverde trees here are over with their blooms. I don't know for sure. I know I need to go see the eye doctor too.

Hope the medicine helps! My mother suffered horrible, horrible migranes all through my childhood. She had the worst case scenerio and was vomiting and any sounds/light killed her. She never, ever went to the dr just about migranes and never had a prescription drug for them. :( Now, hers are completely gone, but she is way past menopause and I think that's why she doesn't have them anymore. I get bad headaches almost daily, but I don't think they are migranes (atleast not like hers). So, I have the deepest sympathy for you. Glad you are feeling better now though!

    Missy,

You and I sound like we're in the same boat! I get headaches almost daily, it's more like once a month (around my period time) or so that I get the bad ones. I get to the point of gagging, but I've never thrown up. Sound REALLY bothers me then, and movement--I can't read or watch tv at that time cuz it makes me feel worse. I HAVE gone to a dr., but nothing's been done. Once I'm back from the trip I am going to make an appt. with him and ask him about that and a couple of other things.....

My headaches are really bad for pms. I really cannot get rid of them for most of the week. The rest of the month is usually allergy/sinus type headaches or tension headaches. I was diagnosed a long time ago with migranes but I don't think that's really what I have most of the time. I pray I don't get them like my mom did! Hope you can resolve your headaches Deena...or atleast get some relief.

My husband has had migraines and cluster migraines ever since I have known him. (And before, lest you think I caused them :) ) He has been on Imitrex since right after it came out. It works for him pretty good, but he has always tried to find out what caused them. He went through the list of foods and sugar is a biggy for him. He has also realized the smoke gives him one almost immediately. Smoke from burning leaves, cigarettes, burned popcorn in the microwave. Burnt sugar, that's a double whammy - just kidding!

I have only had about 10 in my life but, lately, I have begun to have some kind of cluster headaces (3-5 days) that are not as bad as a migraine, but I can't get rid of them once they start. It really messes with school.

I hope you can gaiin control of yours.

G'ma The other kind of migraines not the ones the I call "mini Migraines" because of their fast type, The reguar ones I used to have were from certain scents. At Christmas time I have to be cautious because of this I walked into a Christmas store with the trees and decos and all that once and had such a bad one that hit right away. Also flashes of light can often trigger one. but having had a cat scan i know my brain is okay hehe, the results actually said that my brain was 'normal'. so I use that as a humore aspect a lot!
Sorry I am tired and writing typos a lot today folks. Had a great bday party for son lastnight head achy this morning but I made it through the flashy lights at the bowling alley by not focusing on the alleys much. ( cosmic bowl?)
So praising the Lord for that!
Be bless I will add yoru dh to my prayer list! ( grin)

One of the worst migraines I ever had was on Easter. I sat near the front and the stage was filled with lilies. The smell of the lillies, did it. I tried to sit in the service, but eventually almost crawled to the bathroom where several ladies followed me to see what was wrong. They graciously got me cold cloths for my neck, but I do know that smells will trigger a migraine, too.
