Our hsing journey is coming to close and I am not sure whether to feel elated or sad. I have enjoyed the journey we have been on, although there have been some difficult times (especially with my oldest) and some wonderful times I am begining to feel a constant burn out. It never goes away and I have so much on my plate after moving that I know I won't be able to tackle hsing next year.

As most of you know I put my oldest ds in a charter school after we moved and he has been thriving. I have spent countless hours at the school talking with teachers and staff and my dh and I prayed about sending all the kids there next year. The answer we got was to send them. I will always be a hsing mom at heart and the wonderful thing about this charter school is that they are super homeschool friendly so if one of the kids needs to be hsed I can work with the school so they can take certain classes, or what not.

I feel a huge burden has been lifted off me, yet at the same time I feel sad that I will not have my children home with me all day. I know I will miss them, but I am also looking forward to being able to do the grocery shopping wih 2 kids instead of 6. :)

I hope I can still come back here and visit as I have enjoyed getting to know some of you...and like I said...I am a hsing mom at heart. Maybe I will bring them home in a few years when things settle down...or maybe I will love the school they are at so much I will keep them there. Who knows what the future brings. I thought I would hs K-12, the Lord had other plans though.

    You know my thoughts :)

I soooo wish we had a school here that I could feel comfortable with. I don't know that I'm ready to turn over the younger kids, but Garrett is most likely going back to public school next year. I just can't seem to get him to work with me on things and I can't work with the little kids when I'm fighting with him or in a bad mood from fighting with him all day.

It's always a hard decision to make, but we always have to remember nothing is perminate no matter which way we go. I wish you soooo much luck (and peace) in the coming year!

I wouldnt say it was ended, because4 you never know when they will return or if they wont ever return to home schooling. IT is cool that you have found a school thats working with you that way though, I am happy for your choice for now. Just remember that doors can open and close and who knows what next year will bring, don' t be too sad but enjoy the time you have for now!

So glad you have found resolve. What a blessing! When the Lord has led you to it, trust that He has His best for you and your family. We used ps when we needed to and the Lord had the kids come back home later. Always staying open to where He wants you all is where you'll find the blessing! :)

Thanks everyone! I will come back from time to time to update and see how you are all doing. My kids are excited to go next year, and my ds who is currently going is sad that next Thurs is the last day of school. I need to work with a few of my kids over the summer to make sure they are caught up to where they need to be for the fall, but it shouldn't be too hard since they are almost there. :)
