I received my Sonlight Lang Arts Instructor's Guide today. I've carefully read through the first 6 weeks and I have to say I'm more then impressed! I LOVE it! I love the simplicity of it. I love the lesson plans and the activities! I will be ordering the other years for my other children soon. I want to thank everyone who suggested this curriculum to me and encouraged me to use it even when I wasn't sure it would work. (At one point I had "given up" on Sonlight completely.) I'm still not 100% sold on the history section. (More like I'm a little unsure I can teach 3/4 different cores at one time.) But the Lang Arts program was exactly what I was looking for. Bumping up to say I found core D on ebay for my soon to be 4th grader. (Plus LA guide.) Now only 2 more to buy. (Core G and H!) I need to put in the order for the books. And Dh was super impressed with the LA plan. We went through it last night.
You are doing awesome. I just got Core 3(D) Science at a used curriculum sale, brand new for only $50! I was so excited!
Isn't it great when you find something that fits! I love SL LA too, and the results are very positive.
