My kids are just finishing up their school year today. Any recommendations what should be saved and what should be tossed to make room for next year. I am saving their workbooks and letters to school. Anything else???

does your state require anything? If so save that.
IF not look for the best of---- and put a binder together, Deena taught me to pick the best of for each grade and then we go back to see them as I clean up at this time of year the kids love seeing how they did things back then.

Once your annual assesment has been accepted by the district you do not need to keep any of their work. The only reason you would need their work is if you did a peer review pannel for your assesment. Always keep quarterlies, IHIP and other communication with the district. I usually save work until the new school year begins since our district has a tendancy to run behind. Then I keep a few copies of things that she did well and then get rid of the rest. When they are in high school it is recommended that you keep tests and lab books incase a college wants to review them.

Congrats! We have entered our testing weeks. So I am almost there!
I save tests results and thats all. With five school work would take up a lot of room if we saved everything.
